Violinist Laura Jean Goldberg, graduate of The Juilliard School, is a seasoned performer of chamber music, solo repertoire, and a dynamic teacher for students of all ages. She performed with the BSO, the Portsmouth Symphony, and has been a member of the chamber music faculty at The Juilliard School pre-college division for more than 25 years. As a founding member of the Cassatt Quartet she was a prizewinner at the Banff, Coleman, and Fischoff competitions, has worked with living composers, toured the US, and performed in Europe and Asia. Goldberg is also the founder of ArtsAhimsa Music for Peace, a not-for-profit that brings music to audiences worldwide and director of ArtsAhimsa Chamber Music Festival at Belvoir Terrace, where amateur adult musicians and professionals find inspiration and play together for one week each summer. A board member of Dvorak American Heritage Association (Dvoraknyc.org) and Associated Chamber Music Players Network (ACMP.net), Goldberg is committed to the future of chamber music for performers, students, and listeners.
